The US Air Force’s stance on sexual harassment straddles two conflicting schools of thought. They claim to have a “zero tolerance” policy, yet every man who harassed me (including one who is potentially violent) is still employed. They also limit the amount of time a civilian employee can report harassment to 45 calendar days. You could be harassed in November and not have a chance to report it due to the sheer number of holidays the government takes. Women who file complaints are routinely retaliated against up to and including being terminated.
Perhaps the USAF needs a better understanding of the words “zero” and “tolerance”.
